The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of instruction on sexual assault prevention education with picture book teaching on for junior high school students with intellectual disablities. The nonequivalent pretest-posttest designs research design was used to evaluate the effects on ten participants with mental retardation who were in the ninth grade and placed in a junior high school in Chiayi. The lessons plan on picture book teaching, parent-child unit worksheets and sexual assault prevention knowledge questionnaire designed by the researcher were used as the experiment tool. The independent variable was based on the teaching on the power point of pictures books and reinforcement system. Teaching contents include "sexual assault prevention knowledge," "sexual abuse crisis management" and "sexual assault prevention tips" three units. On the other hand, dependent variables was based on the the picture book instruction feedback questionnaire performed by the participants. The effects were evaluated through researcher-made scale. The teaching experiment was performed for 10 times. The whole experiment lasted 6 weeks and 45 minutes each time. The results of this study were two main outcomes as follows: First, the picture book teaching resource for junior class students with intellectual disabilities have the immediate effect of Sexual Assault Prevention Knowledge. Second, the picture book teaching resource for junior class students with intellectual disabilities Rape Crisis has retained effect. Third, the picture book teaching resource for junior class students with intellectual disabilities sexual abuse prevention techniques have retained effect.
