According to the data from The Statistics of Crimes of Sexual Assault in Taiwan (National Police Agency, Ministry of The Interior, 2012), there are about four thousand sexual assault crimes happened every year in recent ten years. Because the publication of the relevant research, people’s awareness of danger and mass media’s related report, the crimes of sexual assault had caught the audience and government’s attention, and therefore beginning to pursue the reform of the system. Dig More about the The Statistics of Crimes of Sexual Assault in Taiwan, victims under eighteen are more than sixty percent, and the relationship between the assailant and victim which is family members is so called incest, have the proportion of all sample which is about seven to twelve percent. After sorting out and analysis the interview data of victims and experts from “the Research of Sexual Assault Problem”, besides from the original research topics and results, I discover that some incest victims and the relatives no only didn’t condemn the assailants but also being passive about reporting to authorities and protected the assailant. Due to the theory of Bicultural self and the theory of Dual Filial Piety I read previously, and in the light of the interviews data, I started to wonder whether we can use the theories which is relevant to ethnic Chinese culture to explain these unique phenomenon in family. The results of this research revealed that the incest victims and their relatives actually had the thoughts of Bicultural self and Dual Filial Piety and lead to being passive about reporting to authorities and protected the assailant. Considering the influence of the theory of Bicultural self and the theory of Dual Filial Piety, we offered several advices and expected related departments of government can take into account. In addition, we also provided victims some ways to deal with the inner conflicts and pressures from family to help them recovering from the traumas.
