This study attempted to explore the motives and prevention strategies of male sex offenders against male children, to thorough understanding the motive of crime, origins, and offense pathways. The study subjects came from Taipei Prison, Taichung Prison, Kaohsiung Prison, This study uses purposeful sampling and the subjects were picked by prison, there are seven interviewee. The study use qualitative research methods, the first step to study, was used semi-structured in-depth interviews to interviewee in prison, then get the interviewee personal information and crime records by prison, to ensure that reliability and validity, finally divided interview into life history and offense pathways analyze the data. The results showed the lower educational and occupation background in sex offenders against male children, the study finding correspond with literatures researches, five sex offenders against male children have been physical and psychological abuse, neglect and sexual abuse in childhood, five sex offenders against male children had intellectual disability, and those offense pathways accordanced with re-offense pathways, finally draw up the prevention strategies depended on offense pathways.
