第一, 受暴婦女的求助包含過程視角,受暴婦女的求助行為分為求助前的知覺並定義暴力問題、決定尋求幫助、確定適當的求助對象,過程視角將求助視為非線性的過程,並包含一個回饋迴圈;
第二,受暴婦女會依個人需求、暴力的時間以及求助成效使用非正式或正式支持系統;
第三,受暴婦女的求助行為受到施助者、施暴者三方的互動所影響,三方的交互作用對受暴婦女求助行為產生促進或阻礙因素;

Violence against women is a global issue, which has a wide range of negative health and socio-economic consequences.
Understanding battered women's help-seeking behavior, providing appropriate services and formulating relevant policies are an important part of women's social work services and research development.The purpose of this research is to :(1) explore the process of seeking help for women who are victims of marital violence;(2) Exploring the process barriers and coping strategies of abused women seeking help;(3) To explore the help-seeking behavior pattern of abused women in Chinese culture;(4) Improve the quality of anti-domestic violence prevention and intervention services, and provide anti-domestic violence related policy recommendations.
This research takes the grounded theory of construction as the research method,and conducts theoretical sampling on five dimensions of help-seeking experience, duration of violence, domestic violence, marital status, and type of violence, and qualitative interviews with 20 women who have been victims of violence . From a process perspective, explore the cognition, influencing factors, barriers to help seeking and the effectiveness of seeking help for women victims of violence.
Findings include:
Firstly, the help-seeking behavior of abused women includes the process perspective. The help-seeking behavior of abused women includes the perception and definition of violence problem before help-seeking, the decision to seek help, and the determination of appropriate help-seeking objects. The process perspective regards the help-seeking as a nonlinear process and contains a feedback loop.
Second, battered women use informal or formal support systems, depending on their personal needs, the timing of the violence, and the effectiveness of the help.
Third, the help-seeking behavior of battered women is affected by the interaction between the helper and the abuser, which promotes or hinders the help-seeking behavior of battered women.
Fourthly, Chinese culture has inhibitory effect on help-seeking behavior at different stages.The family-based and self-reliant help-seeking concept has profoundly influenced the help-seeking behavior of women victims of violence through collectivism,“mianzi”culture, “renqing” culture, and filial piety culture.The culture under patriarchal society has a high degree of gender oppression, which affects the whole process of women who are victims of violence from understanding and defining the problem of violence to seeking action.and permeates into each process through the interaction of women victims of violence, the helper and the abuser, and affects the effectiveness of seeking help.Finally, battered women can use face culture to develop their own coping strategies for seeking help.
Based on the above conclusions, this study puts forward some suggestions from policy to practice.
