Under the circumstances of high rising crime rates and limited police resources, Crime Mapping and Geo-spatial Information System (GIS) nowadays become very important tools of decision making support systems and dispatching police services. This study is conducting a real case study by reviewing the literature review and a GIS application of developing crime mapping. Through paper review of crime prevention and crime prediction in advanced countries, the study took an analysis of Auto Thefts of Taipei City in the year of 2007, explored the spatial patterns of crime and the connection of crime factors from spatial and temporal analysis. The results of research have been shown that there are high correlation of crime location and time. Time-series analysis also has been applied in this research. The outcome of result could be an important decision making tool of resource allocation for agencies of law enforcements.
