R軟體用於機車竊盜犯罪區位特性之研究-以桃園市為例Using R on the Criminal Ecology of Motorcycle Theft-A Case Study on Taoyuan City

近年來伴隨著GIS 系統興起、地理資訊大量積累,地理學或空間分析技術於犯罪學領域之應用亦逐漸佔有一席之地。透過科學化之「犯罪地理學」,可以在一定程度上改變並完善犯罪學之理論體系和研究方法,且有效運用於解釋犯罪現象與解決犯罪問題。由GIS 結合犯罪資訊所產生之「犯罪地圖(Crime Mapping)」,則可顯現犯罪分布之時間、空間位移與相關數位化犯罪資料。在資訊與科技逐漸趨於整合,並朝向多元化的應用之今日,本研究使用R語言撰寫資料視覺化程式,來分析桃園市各區以空間自相關方法分析機車竊案犯罪熱點的時空特性,以及該地區機車竊案的時空分布型態。透過GIS 與犯罪資料整合,以視覺化方式繪製「犯罪地圖」,包含網格圖、3D直方圖及熱圖等視覺化圖形。經由科學化與統計分析,期能提供警政相關單位更有效率的從事機車竊盜犯罪之防治工作。GIS system and geographic information has been very popular and overwhelming in recent years. Geography and spatial analysis are widely used in different fields, including Criminology. The study cited conception of GIS and focuses on both application of GIS crime mapping, spatial analysis in hotspot searching, and the exploring of temporal and spatial characteristics of in real residential crime hotspots. This study uses the R language as a tool for data visualization of “crime mapping. We develop a "crime mapping" GIS system which integrates digital crime data (e.g crime occurring time and spatial displacement) to spatial analysis and statistical techniques. This system applies several visual maps (e.g. grid maps, 3D histograms, and heat maps) to explain different criminal phenomenon and has been implemented effectively. It is believed that this work could provide a prototype to enhance the work of crime control and prevention.
